Saturday morning we got up and decided to make the hour drive up to Lake George. Everyone had been telling us to go there but we just had not made it up there yet.
It seems to be a cross between Smith Mountain Lake and Myrtle Beach. The lake is there with para sailing... a beach... boat rides ect.... but on the land more to do like Myrtle Beach. Museums, haunted houses... wax museums....
We had a really great time walking around and visiting the haunted houses, wax museum and the William Henry Fort Museum. That is where Kyle got to dress like a soldier and do a soldier march earning him a hard days pay of 2 cents. LOL! We got to see a cannon fire, a musket fired and a "bomb" set off. Kyle really had a lot of fun.
Then off to the haunted house.... and of course I was scared out of my mind. Even the wax museum scared me. LOL! Then the best part was the arcade we went too. Rob got me and Kyle five dollars worth of quarters and then I made him get more because I could spend my life in an arcade... makes you feel like such a kid again!
Then on the way home we stopped for some ice cream... MMMMM it was so good! :) It turned out to be a really nice day and a great way to spend a NICE warm day!
